This Payments and Refunds Policy explains how payments, billing, refunds, cancellations, and payment disputes are handled when you purchase paid services through RentRightGH.

RentRightGH is a rental listing platform licensed to EKA Realty in Ghana. The RentRightGH website and related technology platform are developed, administered, and operated by Esodo LLC, a company registered in the United States.

For purposes of this Payments and Refunds Policy, “RentRightGH,” “we,” “us,” and “our” refer to Esodo LLC in its role as administrator and operator of the RentRightGH website, technology platform, and related services, unless the context clearly requires otherwise.

By purchasing a paid service on RentRightGH, you agree to this Payments and Refunds Policy, our Terms and Conditions, and our Privacy Policy.

1. Paid Services

RentRightGH may offer paid services, including but not limited to:

  • Featured property listings;
  • Promoted listings;
  • Listing subscriptions;
  • Verification services;
  • Advertising placements;
  • Premium listing tools;
  • Business, agent, landlord, or property manager packages; and
  • Other paid services made available through the website.

The specific features, duration, price, and limits of each paid service will be shown at or before the time of purchase.

2. Prices and Currency

Prices will be displayed on the website before payment is completed.

Unless otherwise stated, prices may be listed in Ghanaian Cedis, U.S. Dollars, or another supported currency.

You are responsible for reviewing the price, service description, billing period, and any applicable fees before making payment.

Prices may change at any time. Price changes will apply to future purchases and renewals, unless otherwise stated.

3. Taxes, Bank Charges, and Payment Processor Fees

Prices may not include taxes, levies, bank charges, mobile money fees, card fees, foreign exchange fees, or payment processor charges unless expressly stated.

Your bank, card issuer, mobile money provider, or payment processor may charge additional fees. RentRightGH is not responsible for fees charged by third-party financial institutions or payment providers.

4. Payment Processor

Payments may be processed by third-party payment providers, including Paystack.

When you make a payment, you may be redirected to, or processed through, a third-party payment provider. Your payment may be subject to that provider’s own terms, policies, processing timelines, fraud checks, and dispute procedures.

RentRightGH does not intend to store full debit card, credit card, or mobile money credentials.

Paystack’s documentation explains that refunds can be initiated using the relevant transaction ID or reference and may be full or partial, depending on the amount submitted for refund processing.

5. Payment Confirmation

A paid service will usually become active after successful payment confirmation.

In some cases, activation may be delayed because of:

  • Payment processing delays;
  • Failed or pending payment confirmation;
  • Manual review;
  • Verification checks;
  • Technical issues;
  • Suspected fraud or misuse; or
  • Incomplete account or listing information.

If payment is deducted but the service does not activate, you should contact us at support@rentrightgh.com with your payment reference, transaction ID, account email, and details of the service purchased.

6. Subscriptions and Renewals

Some paid services may be offered as subscriptions.

If you purchase a subscription, the billing period, price, renewal terms, and included features will be shown at or before purchase.

Depending on the service purchased, subscriptions may renew automatically unless cancelled before the next billing date.

You are responsible for cancelling a subscription before renewal if you do not want to be charged for the next billing period.

Unless otherwise stated, cancelling a subscription stops future renewals but does not automatically refund fees already paid for the current billing period.

7. Cancellations

You may cancel a paid service or subscription where cancellation is available through your account settings or by contacting support@rentrightgh.com.

Cancellation does not guarantee a refund.

If a paid service has already started, been activated, displayed, promoted, used, or made available to you, the payment may be non-refundable unless this Policy states otherwise or applicable law requires a refund.

8. General Refund Rule

Because many RentRightGH paid services are digital services, listing services, promotional placements, verification reviews, or subscription-based services, payments are generally non-refundable once the service has started, been activated, displayed, promoted, used, reviewed, or made available.

However, RentRightGH may approve refunds in the circumstances described below.

9. Refunds We May Approve

We may approve a full or partial refund if:

  • You were charged more than once for the same service because of a duplicate payment error;
  • Your payment was successful but the paid service was not activated or delivered;
  • You were charged an incorrect amount because of a RentRightGH billing error;
  • You cancelled before the service started and before any benefit was provided;
  • A subscription renewal was charged after you properly cancelled before the renewal date;
  • We are unable to provide the paid service you purchased;
  • We remove or reject a paid listing before it goes live for reasons unrelated to your conduct; or
  • Applicable law requires a refund.

Refunds are reviewed case by case.

10. Refunds We Usually Do Not Approve

Unless required by law or expressly approved by RentRightGH, refunds will usually not be provided where:

  • A featured, promoted, or paid listing has already gone live;
  • A listing received fewer views, inquiries, leads, calls, or messages than expected;
  • A property was rented, withdrawn, changed, or became unavailable after the paid service started;
  • You changed your mind after purchase;
  • You purchased the wrong package or service;
  • You failed to provide complete or accurate listing information;
  • Your listing was rejected, removed, or suspended because it violated our Terms and Conditions;
  • Your account was suspended or terminated for misuse, fraud, false information, or policy violations;
  • You were dissatisfied with user responses, renter interest, lead quality, or rental outcome;
  • A third-party landlord, agent, renter, property manager, or lister failed to act as expected;
  • The issue relates to an offline rental transaction, deposit, viewing, lease, or agreement between users; or
  • The refund request is made after the refund request period stated below.

Payment of a fee does not guarantee listing views, renter inquiries, tenant placement, rental approval, successful lease signing, or any specific business result.

11. Refund Request Period

Refund requests should be submitted within 7 days after the payment date.

For duplicate charges, failed activations, or clear billing errors, we may review requests submitted after 7 days, but approval is not guaranteed.

  • Your full name;
  • Account email or phone number;
  • Payment date;
  • Amount paid;
  • Payment reference or transaction ID;
  • Service purchased;
  • Reason for the refund request; and
  • Any supporting screenshots or documents.

12. Refund Processing

If a refund is approved, we may process the refund through the original payment method or through another reasonable method available to us.

Refund processing times may vary depending on the payment provider, bank, card issuer, mobile money provider, and payment method.

Payment processor fees, bank fees, card fees, mobile money fees, foreign exchange differences, and other third-party charges may not be refundable unless required by law or expressly approved by RentRightGH.

Paystack’s refund documentation states that refunds may be created as full refunds or partial refunds, and that partial refunds cannot exceed the original transaction amount.

13. Partial Refunds

RentRightGH may issue a partial refund where only part of the service was affected or where a full refund is not appropriate.

For example, we may approve a partial refund if a paid promotion was active for part of the purchased period but unavailable for the remaining period due to a platform issue.

Partial refunds are determined at RentRightGH’s discretion unless applicable law requires a different result.

14. Failed, Pending, or Unconfirmed Payments

If your payment is marked as failed, pending, abandoned, reversed, or unconfirmed, the paid service may not be activated until payment is successfully confirmed.

If money was deducted from your account but the transaction does not appear successful on RentRightGH, please contact your bank, mobile money provider, card issuer, or payment processor. You may also contact us with your payment reference so we can review our records.

We are not responsible for delays caused by banks, mobile money providers, card networks, or payment processors.

15. Chargebacks and Payment Disputes

If you dispute a payment through your bank, card issuer, mobile money provider, or payment processor, your access to the related paid service may be suspended while the dispute is reviewed.

You agree to contact RentRightGH first at support@rentrightgh.com so we can try to resolve the issue before you file a chargeback or external payment dispute.

Paystack’s terms state that Paystack may intervene in disputes between users and merchants concerning payments, but it has no obligation to do so, and its role is as a payment gateway.

If a chargeback, reversal, or dispute is determined to be improper or related to a validly delivered service, we may suspend your account, remove listings, recover the disputed amount, or restrict future purchases.

16. Promotions, Discounts, and Coupons

From time to time, RentRightGH may offer promotional prices, discounts, coupons, trial periods, or special offers.

Promotions may be subject to additional terms, eligibility rules, expiration dates, package limits, or usage restrictions.

Unless otherwise stated:

  • Promotions cannot be exchanged for cash;
  • Promotions cannot be transferred;
  • Promotions may not be combined with other offers;
  • Expired promotions will not be honored; and
  • If a refund is approved for a discounted purchase, the refund will be based on the discounted amount actually paid.

17. Listing Removal and Refunds

RentRightGH may remove, reject, suspend, or restrict listings that violate our Terms and Conditions, appear fraudulent, are misleading, are unauthorized, or create legal, safety, reputational, or operational risk.

If your paid listing is removed or rejected because you violated our Terms and Conditions or submitted inaccurate, misleading, unauthorized, or unlawful information, you may not be eligible for a refund.

If RentRightGH removes or rejects a paid listing before it goes live for reasons unrelated to your conduct, we may offer a refund, account credit, or replacement service.

18. No Refunds for User-to-User Rental Transactions

RentRightGH is a rental listing platform. We are not responsible for payments, deposits, rent, inspection fees, agency fees, holding fees, lease payments, refunds, or other amounts exchanged directly between renters, landlords, agents, property managers, or other users outside the RentRightGH payment system.

Any dispute about rent, deposits, property access, lease terms, viewing fees, agency fees, or offline payments must be resolved directly between the relevant users.

Users should conduct their own due diligence before making payments to landlords, agents, property managers, listers, or other third parties.

19. Fraud Prevention and Payment Review

We may delay, reject, suspend, or cancel a payment or paid service if we suspect fraud, unauthorized use, payment abuse, chargeback abuse, identity concerns, listing fraud, or violation of our Terms and Conditions.

We may request additional information to verify a payment, account, listing, or user before activating a paid service.

20. Changes to This Policy

We may update this Payments and Refunds Policy from time to time.

If we make material changes, we may notify users by posting the updated policy on the website or by other appropriate means.

The updated policy is effective when posted, unless otherwise stated.

Your continued use of RentRightGH or purchase of paid services after an updated policy is posted means you accept the revised policy.
